India has awarded Bangladesh’s Summit Alliance Port a contract to equip, operate and manage three inland water transport terminals in Kolkata and Patna as the lead member of a consortium.

In a notice published on the Dhaka Stock Exchange website on Monday, the company said it participated in the bidding for the 30-year project in November last year.

Summit Alliance plans to spend $3 million for equipment procurement.
