Each student received Tk 8,000 on Friday at their school. Lions Club of Dhaka supported Leo club to distribute the money among the children.
Novo Nordisk in a statement said their employees extended the financial support to these children as part of their ‘TakeAction’ activity.
TakeAction is Novo Nordisk's global employee volunteer programme “to make a difference”.
“It is the opportunity to demonstrate the company’s commitment to the Triple Bottom Line business philosophy by engaging in volunteer activities that are supporting social, environmental or health objectives,” said Managing Director Anand Shetty.
