The fire broke out around 11:30am at the office of a courier service and later spread all over the zone meant for courier services, according to fire service Assistant Director Yahya Aktar.
Three fire-fighting units put out the flames around 1:10pm, said Assistant Superintendent of Industrial Police Tofail Ahmed.
The courier services zone, located just in front of the CEPZ main entrance, houses offices and warehouse of several international courier services .
bdnews24.com Correspondent Mitoon Chowdhury reported from the spot that offices of UPS, FedEx, DHL, Aramex and TNT were burnt down.
No one was injured in the fire, CEPZ police OC Abul Mansur said.
Tofail Ahmed of the industrial police said the fire originated from a burning garbage just beside the premises.
The fire spread to the courier zone after it caught the electricity cable, he added.
