Huge fire breaks out at apparel factory at Gazipur

The factory caught fire around 2:15pm on Sunday, Gazipur Fire Service’s Deputy Assistant Director Aktaruzzaman Liton said.

He added 10 firefighting units were trying to put out the flames.

It is unclear if any worker has been trapped inside the factory.

Riton said the fire originated at the warehouse on the factory’s second floor.

The cause of the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately.
