His remarks come in response to BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, who described the commission’s planned series of dialogues with stakeholder as a ‘farce’.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, AL General Secretary said it not clear what the BNP wants.
“One of the members of this commission was referred by them. The Awami League also has a commissioner which it preferred. The chief election commissioner’s name was suggested by another party,” he said.
The ruling party leader said that if the EC acts beyond the constitution, they will also protest.
“It seems to me if the BNP is guaranteed 300 seats, only then it will find the EC as neutral, or else not.”
